Brief

Bangladesh is a developing country in South Asia. Its economy is dominated by agricultural products such as rice, tea and mustard. The ready-made garments industry accounts for nearly 80% of the country’s export revenue.

Although Bangladesh is exempt from implementing the general provisions of TRIPS until 2013, it is already working towards compliance with TRIPS by gradually improving manpower skill and modernizing its Intellectual Property Office through complete automation.
